Sweet Rhubarb Fruit Tea - Taylors of Harrogate

Aroma

If you put your nose to the cup, the smell is unfortunately quite underwhelming, a sort of sour fruity aroma combined with musky hibiscus. Sort of. Step away from the cup, and the aroma is sweet, holding clear rhubarb notes. It smells sensational and can fill a room with its delightful scent.

Flavour

You can drink this tea iced for a refreshing, fruity drink. However, for best results, let the teabag steep in hot water for as long as you can stand. The smell is gorgeous, so just try to hold out and not drink Sweet Rhubarb too soon! Obviously, the flavour is fruity, but there’s also a wild mix of sweet vanilla, sour rhubarb and a light musty hint of hibiscus. Its melodic and captivating.

Final Thoughts

Created in partnership with Kew's Royal Botanic Gardens, everything about this blends oozes quality. The packaging is beautiful with its pastel pink box, highlighted with a lime green interior to contrast perfectly. The envelopes encasing the teabags are so above quality that they feel like superiority. Yea. That good. However, the all-important question asked most of fruit teas; does it taste as good as it smells? In truth… Not Quite. The smell is staggering, mouth watering, a siren tea calling to your senses, and whilst the taste is incredible, it's just not quite as good. Just. The inadequacy is so small, it barely matters, making Sweet Rhubarb a tea to repeat purchase.
