Bruu’s subscription service started as a solution for tea lovers, helping them to discover quality teas, with natural ingredients, from around the world.
Luckily for us, Bruu has recently expanded, gifting their tea selection by making it available for purchase. Now we can all stock up on our favourite blends!
For just £10 a month Bruu sends you three teas, allowing you to experience approximately 40 joy filled cups of flavoured bliss. At 25p a cup, not bad eh?! When starting your subscription you have the opportunity to select the types of teas you wish to include or exclude; Black, Green, White, Oolong, Chai, Herbal, Rooibos and Fruit.

When your subscription arrives you'll find a letter that provides updates on what Bruu has been up to, along with a little detail about the tea's included in the pack. It's a nice touch that creates a personal feel. Each month Bruu sends out a fixed set of teas. If you have excluded one of these tea types, Bruu will substitute it with a tea you have subscribed to. However, this does mean that the letter won't correlate with one or more of your teas, depreciating the experience a little.
Sometimes the delivery is tailored towards a specific concept, for instance the season or key celebrations. In the February pack, Bruu opted for a Valentines theme. Each tea in the pack has a kooky title, inviting description and a recommended brewing time (as always), giving you a feel for the tea before the sachets are even opened. The only drawback at this point is that some teas lack description of origin, meaning that customers may not always understand what they are receiving.
February's pack included the following blends;
Rose Amour - A black tea blended with delicate English roses.
We Love Mango – A Chinese Sencha green lovingly infused with mango.
Rosey Rhubarb Green - A sweet rhubarb green carefully balanced with the silky aroma of rose petals.

And, this is the special part… It’s not JUST tea. Bruu also includes a few cute little gifts with your subscriptions. In the past there have been, chocolate, seeds and tea lights, but this month, keeping with the theme, Bruu gifted a paper tealight holder and a pack of love heart sweets. These gifts are a charming addition, enabling a sense of being valued by the brand.
The Nitty Gritty
A few other things to note about the Bruu subscription…
Delivery is completely FREE to UK subscribers. I know… all of the above for a tenner! I promise, no catch, pinch yourself if you must, this is no dream. You, dear reader, live in a reality where this ACTUALLY exists! Fear not non-British tea lovers, Bruu also delivers to those outside the UK, to many European countries, USA, Canada and Australia. There is a small cost of £4.99. Not so brilliant for those of you from afar, but fair, considering all you will receive. Under £15 is still a good price for these tasty treats.
Your package, which is a slim box designed to fit straight through your letter box, should arrive on the 15th of every month, although I’ve found that mine is usually a little late (February 18th). However, I don’t feel that this is a big issue. We forgive you Bruu, after all it's probably not their fault, nothing is as good once it is privatised. (Bring back a nationalised post service.)
If you want to (although I’m not 100% why you would) you can cancel or pause your membership at any time without any repercussions.
AND… yea there’s more… you may want to sit down for this one. You can get your first box for just £2.99 by entering LOVEBRUU at the checkout. What a bargain! If you haven't subscribed, pop on over to Bruu. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? If you have subscribed, let me know what you think in the comments below :)
